Buddharama Temple Åsele is a Buddhist temple currently under construction in the county of Åsele in the northern region of Lappland in Sweden.[1][2][3] It is scheduled to become the largest Buddhist temple in Europe. Partly funded by the government of Thailand, it will be a Thai-style temple,[4] with monks from Thailand residing in a monastery adjacent to the temple. The temple will cater to the spiritual needs of the prominent Thai community in Scandinavia, as well as other Buddhists in Northern Europe.
